Spooky Spikes

Ach ja, eigentlich… eigentlich sollte diese Kette ganz anders aussehen. Aber, wie so oft, die Perlchen haben ihren eigenen Kopf und nun hat sie einen etwas Morticia-Addams-artigen Look.  Passt ja zur Jahreszeit. Happy Halloween! :-)

This necklace started out with a whole different intention. But sometimes the beads have their own will and it ended up with a somehow Morticia-Addams-ish look. Matches the season. Happy Halloween! :-)

Und wer gaaanz genau hinguckt, kann im Inneren der Blütenknospen sogar (Baby-) Spikes erkennen.

And if you take a really close look at the little buds you can even find some (baby) spikes in the middle.

Winter

In einigen Teilen Deutschlands ist dieses Wochenende schon der Winter eingekehrt. Hier ist passend dazu mein neues Armband :-)
In some parts of Germany we already had snow this weekend. Here is the matching bracelet :-)

Die tollen Lampwork-Tropfen im Look von schmelzenden Eiszapfen habe ich von meiner Perlenfreundin Uli Kreiterling.
The gorgeous lampwork drops that look like melting icicles were made by my beady friend Uli Kreiterling.

Üppig, üppig!

Ich musste unbedingt noch mehr "Capsules and Tassels" fädeln. Diesmal blieben es lauter Einzelelemente, die ich dann mit allerlei Glitzer aus meinen Schatzkistchen zu einer ziemlich aufwändigen Kette montiert habe. Könnte glatt eine neue Lieblingskette werden!
I absolutely had to make some more "Capsules and Tassels". This time I made a handful of single elements, added some glittery treasures from my stash and assembled them to a nice, chunky necklace. Could be one of my new favourite pieces!

Wanderlust

Das kleine Diorama ist ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für meine Mama. Sie hat zwar erst nächste Woche, aber das Paket ist schon angekommen und sie hat es (natürlich!) schon geöffnet. Dann kann ich ja hier keine Überraschung verderben (davon abgesehen hat sie keinen Computer :-)). Alles Gute, Mama!
The little diorama is a birthday present for my mom. It is only next week, but the parcel has already arrived and (of course) she has already opened it. So I can't spoil any surprise by posting it here (she has no computer anyway :-)). Happy Birthday, Mom!

Fremdgegangen

In der Wartezeit auf meine neue Brille musste ich meine Hände ja mit irgendwas beschäftigen, die fuzzikleinen Perlchen konnte ich leider nicht mehr ohne Lupe erkennnen. Da fiel mir glücklicherweise ein, dass ich ja noch eine Handvoll Chain-Maille-Kits auf Lager hatte.
While I was waiting for my new glasses to be delivered I had to keep my hands occupied with something. I couldn't see my teensy-weensy beads any more without magnifier. Luckily I remembered that I had some Chain Maille kits in my stash.

Voilá! "Bold and Brilliant Byzantine" von Kat Wisniewski/ Blue Buddha Boutique. Und weil genug Material da war, wurde es auch eine Halskette und nicht nur ein Armband.
